Welcome to Miami’s Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount across various South Florida neighborhoods. Is one man’s studio another man’s townhouse? Let’s find out!
Today, we’re going to see what we can get for $3,400 per month, or roughly the equivalent to one-bedroom median rent in San Francisco, the most expensive rental territory in the country and nearly double Miami’s $1800.
Mid-Beach: 5155 Collins Avenue #1717
This two-bed, two-bath may be the smallest rental on our list at 1,030 square feet but making up for that shortcoming are the direct ocean views from every room. The residence is furnished and recently renovated.
South Beach: 1200 West Avenue #426
Measuring 1,226 square feet is a two-bedroom residence at the Mirador on West Avenue. It’s a corner unit with bay views and travertine marble floors, and an ideal location in South Beach.
Brickell: 2333 Brickell Avenue #702
This Brickell residence has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, bay views, and 1,460 square feet of living space. It’s also fully furnished but its most appealing detail may be its inclusion of cable and a cleaning service, per the listing.
Downtown: 1100 Biscayne Boulevard #3505
There’s a lot to like with this expansive 1,675-square-foot corner duplex in Marquis Residences outside of it being a one-bedroom. You get two bathrooms, bay and city views, and a great central location in Miami’s booming downtown scene.
North Miami: 111 Biscayne Boulevard #14B
Heading farther north along Biscayne Boulevard gets you a lot more living space. Here’s a 1,812-square-foot unit near North Miami with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and some gorgeous views.
It also has been renovated and features a kitchen with new appliances in addition to marble countertops.
